Child care is available for children between the ages of 1 and 10 during relevant events of the SFB 854 such as seminars, conferences, and conventions.
In addition, childcare through a babysitter can be used in cases where public childcare is not available. For instance, outside of normal day care opening hours or when the child is sick. It is required that these child care sessions coincide with relevant project work/events for the CRC 854. Please make sure that the babysitter is a member of the babysitter pool of the OvGU! Another possibility for childcare outside of the normal opening hours of the KiTas are the two Campus Kinderzimmer of the OvGU. The latest addition is the new parent-child room, which was equipped by the SFB 854 and offers parents to combine work and childcare directly on campus. Recently, the OVGU has also started offering virtual childcare to all its employees through its partner voiio - a useful addition to these services, not only in times of pandemic!
Further information regarding these offers and even more information for parents can be found at the website of the Family Office of the OvGU. Here you will also find, for example, help in finding a day care spot and the seasonal offers of the Family Office such as the child holiday care, in the implementation of which the CRC 854 also regularly participates.
If you are interested in these offers or have any questions, please contact Heike Dömeland or Martina Beyrau.
