What is voiio?
Voiio supports parents and grandparents in balancing work and family. Through OvGU's cooperation with voiio, employees and students can choose from numerous virtual childcare options for many age groups.
You can book these conveniently at your preferred times. The offerings range from supervised small groups (handicrafts, sports, etc.) to individual care and tutoring. Webinars and guides for parents are also available.
It doesn't matter what the reason is: School/daycare center closed? No childcare during the vacations? Longer consultations or committee meetings? Simply book the appropriate offer at voiio up to 24 hours in advance. With this cooperation, the OvGU would like to make it easier for members of the university to combine work and family. Especially during the Corona pandemic, it became clear what kind of pressures parents are exposed to. These are to be cushioned with the virtual offer.

What are the costs?
This offer is free of charge for all employees and students of the OvGU. The CRC 854 supports this offer of the university financially and therefore asks all parents employed in the CRC 854 to forward the booking confirmation ("Reservierung - ...") without comment to Heike Dömeland for each booking, so that we can support the OvGU and account for the hours used by "our" parents!
How to book the offers?
You simply log in to the voiio website with your OvGU email address and there you can search for suitable offers in the catalog or select times and offers directly in the timetable.
