The First Master's Degree in Immunology in Germany is opening in Magdeburg
After much preliminary work and planning, we welcomed the first group of students in the new Master's Program Immunology on the 5th of October 2016. These 13 students come from all walks of life. Their Bachelor studies include Biology, Hospital Hygiene, Integrated Life Sciences, Biosystems Technology, Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine. Geographically, they also come from all over the place, including Bayern, Berlin, Sachsen-Anhalt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Thüringen, Sachsen, China, Iran and Saudi Arabia! Despite all of these differences, they all share the wish to study the dynamic and promising field of immunology. In the next two years, they will have plenty of opportunities to do this. The curriculum, which is set up in blocks, starts with an intensive four-week-long course "Grundlagen der Immunology" (Fundamentals of Immunology) in the Institute of Molecular and Clinical Immunology. This course will offer a comprehensive and varied overview of the various subjects within the field of immunology.
