In order to get the participants in the mood for the scientific program, the second day started with opening words from Prof. Burkhart Schraven (Speaker of CRC 854), Prof. Frank Ohl (CRC 779) and Prof. Constanze Seidenbecher (Co-Speaker of ABINEP), followed by three scientific lectures of CRC 854, in which current research results, constructive feedback and methodological problems could be presented and then discussed in depth. Martha Böning opened with the topic: „Role of ADAP in NK cell-activation and in the initiation of innate immunity to bacterial infections“.
Deborah Ruggieri presented many tips and tricks related to the topic Strategic Networking in the workshop afterwards, where she encouraged and inspired the audience to acquire this very important skill in a very entertaining way. After a relaxed guided tour through the monastery followed by lunch, the participants had the chance to further immerse themselves in the knowledge they had gathered until then.
In the late afternoon there were more fascinating scientific lectures by CRC 779 and ABINEP, for example the opening talk by Marina Zempeltzi (SFB 779) with the topic "Creating networks from studying cortical circuits and networks" or by Beatrice Barbazzeni (ABINEP): "Cognitive training based on EEG-neurofeedback to improve working memory in preclinical Alzheimer's disease".
Throughout the two days there was an active exchange, which strengthened the developing network between the scientists even further.
